PVC Lagging for rollers:
Published on 7. August 2008MCL is pleased to offer PVC lagging for Ø 50mm rollers. This is used on rollers to achieve increased friction between roller and the base of the product being conveyed.
Typical applications would be on roller conveyor inclines, roller conveyor declines, areas of product speed up or transfer.
Usually installed on MCL rollers, we also offer a service to retrofit PVC lagging to existing rollers.

High Speed Divert Module
Published on 29. May 2008MCL have just successfully installed two of their recently released modular high speed diverts.
Various options are available dependant on carton sizes and flow rates.
- Some of the benefits of this divert can be listed as;
- keeping the cartons oriented in the same direction while transferring off the main line,
- capable of handling up to 60 cartons per minute depending on products,
- simple robust mechanical design for ease of any future maintenance.
This module is available in single phase, three phase and 24 VDC options.
Once again, a modular concept has been adopted which allows for flexibility in conveyor design while offering an extremely cost effective method of diverting cartons.

Improved Compact Blade Stop Design
Published on 17. March 2008Compact Blade Stop design is improved with a unique speed up section provided.
When used in conjunction with band driven roller conveyor, the pneumatically operated compact blade stop is combined with split spools that are clipped over the standard spools to achieve a speed up section.
This speed up section is required to effect gaps between products when clearing accumulated product which in turn also offers the compact blade stop a clear space to actuate into if further product control is required.
This unique spool design offers a quick, simple and cost effective method of fine tuning conveyor systems when dealing with the clearing of accumulated product of various carton sizes.
Other recent improvements include the introduction of a ball joint at the top of the pneumatic cylinder to reduce component wear and improve cycle rates.
Compact Blade Stops can be retrofitted into existing conveyors very simply – components are kept ex stock to suit 400mm – 600mm inside frame widths in 50mm increments for quick lead times.
Split spools can be utilised in many parts of a conveyor system where an increase in line speed is required.
